Whats Is
Scouts BSA
Scouts BSA is the traditional Scouting experience for youth in the fifth grade through high school. Service, community engagement and leadership development become increasingly important parts of the program as youth lead their own activities and work their way toward earning Scouting’s highest rank, Eagle Scout.

Our Ethos
Scouting is adventure, family, fun, character, leadership and so much more.
In Scouting, boys and girls start with their best right now selves and grow into their very best future selves. It’s fun, hands-on learning and achievement that puts kids in the middle of the action and prepares them for today – and for life.
How Our Troops Work
Troop 140 and Troop 1140 are considered Linked Troops.
Linked troops are two troops — one for boys and one for girls — that share a chartered organization and may share some or all of the troop committee.
The approach preserves the single-gender troop model while making things more convenient for families such as having meetings in the same location on the same night.
Troop 140 and Troop 1140 are linked in the following way:
-
Same Chartered Organization
-
Same Troop Committee
-
Meetings
-
Monday nights from 7 PM to 8:30PM
-
One meeting for Troop 140 and one meeting for Troop 1140
-
Same time and same location but separation of meeting based on gender
-
